2027 ASNR Annual Meeting Symposia Proposals

Thank you for your interest in submitting an Individual Talk for a Curated Symposium for the ASNR Annual Meeting, March 16–18, 2027, in Durham, NC. Please note all submissions are due Sunday, November 1, 2026.

Track 2 is for applicants submitting a single 20-minute talk rather than a complete symposium.

  • Applicants do not need to identify co-speakers or propose a complete symposium.
  • Selected talks will be combined by the Program Committee with two other selected talks to create a curated symposium.
  • All presenters will be required to submit a financial disclosure form.
  • Presenters do not need to be an ASNR member.
  • Non-ASNR members who are presenting at ASNR and attending the meeting for the first time will be offered a reduced membership rate and complimentary meeting registration.

Scientific Fit
Individual talk submissions must fit clearly within one of the following curated symposium themes. Submissions that do not fit within one of the curated symposium themes will not be considered for presentation. 

  1. The Recovering Language System: Mechanisms, Prediction, and Intervention
    Scope: How language function is disrupted and recovers after neurologic injury or disease, and how recovery can be understood, measured, predicted, and improved.
  2. Heterogeneity in Recovery: Why Similar Injuries Lead to Different Outcomes
    Scope:  Why individuals with apparently similar neurologic injuries or disease experience different recovery trajectories and treatment responses, and how these differences can be understood, predicted, and addressed.
